Initial 1.5 hour intake session: $150
50 minute session: $115
90 minute extended session: $150
Payment is made at the time of service in the form of cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
Please note: your bank will charge a nominal fee for e-transfers.
I must charge a fee of $25.00 for cheques returned due to Non-sufficient funds.
A receipt will be provided at the time of service.
COVERAGE AND BENEFITS
In some situations, you may have additional coverage available to you. Many insurance companies will cover the cost of social work services. It is best to check with them first.
As with many other professions, therapists usually ask for 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments. This is because we are self employed, and our income is dependent on our regularly scheduled appointments. The 24 hour policy allows enough time to offer the session time to another client. Given that therapy is a commitment on the part of both the client, and myself I have the following cancellation policies in place:
If a cancellation occurs within less than 24 hours notice, I will charge the full fee of the appointment. This would be due by the next appointment, or within 7 days.
If the session is not cancelled, but you do not show up, this is considered a missed appointment, and I will need to charge the full fee in this case as well. The fee would be due by the next appointment or within 7 days.
I appreciate that emergencies arise, and it is not always possible to honor the 24-hour policy regarding notice of cancelled appointments. Under such extenuating circumstances, the fee will be waived. Please advise me of your circumstances as soon as possible.
MY COMMITMENT TO YOU:
I will also provide at least 24 hours notice if I need to cancel our appointment. However, I may also have extenuating circumstances arise which may prevent me from doing so. In such circumstances, I will notify you as soon as possible should I need to cancel our appointment last minute.
